First of all (so you know what I'm actually talking about):

This guy thought of a way to earn some money back in August 2005. He came up with the idea of creating a homepage with a 1,000x1,000 pixel image. He would sell each pixel for $1. Each pixel sold will contain an image chosen by the one who bought the pixel (you had to buy at least 10x10 ($100) pixels). The Homepage soon reached a tremendous amount of request and gained popularity. Many companies got interested and bought pixels. The last 1,000 pixels were sold on ebay for $31,800. So on Friday 13th January 2006 the 21 year old Alex Tew had a total income standing of $1,037,100.

What do we learn from that? The simplest ideas get the most money.

At the moment a friend and I are working on a similar strategy. We won't aim at €1,000,000 (Euro). We won't aim at €100,000. But we will aim at a nice amount. Everything I can tell at the moment is that it will not be a place for advertisements. We don't simply want to steal the idea but come up with something new. What do we have to lose? 2006 has just started. I hope it will be even better than 2005.

What are the upcoming events?

No. 1: Soccer World Championship in Germany. I´m really looking forward to this. Will the german team (vice champion in 2002) be able to win it this time? Unfortunately I will be on a trip during the final game.

Which leads to event No. 2: Trip to the US! The most important event for me this year. TBR, Meg and Zabooafoo: I´m coming ;-)

No. 3: Wacken Open Air. One of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world. More than 30,000 metalheadz in one place watching 60 bands or more and having a good time. What could be more fun?


Can´t think of anything else happening this year. If I find something else I´ll tell you. Have a nice day and a happy new year!

Since I need a new passport to travel to the US of A next summer I went to order it today. Normally this thing costs €37.50 (around $45.00). I paid €52.50 so I wouldn´t get too much change back. And now the question: what´s 52.50 - 37.50? Right: 15. But instead of €15 this guy gave me €25. Now I actually paid €10 (around $12) less on my passport than I had to.

And people are wondering why Germany has so many debts ...

Oh, damn, you scared me! Who are you? What are you doing here? How bored must you be reading this?

You want to know why I´m writing this? Well, since my three best friends already started blogging I don´t want to be the "different" one. Actually I think I am different already. Who isn´t? *someone yelling from behind: "I´m not!"*

Lets see if there is anything interesting about me...

I´m the crazy german aka. Mr. Spock. My homeplanet is the far Germainia, only five clicks away from the Great Roman Empire. Like most of my friends I´m kind of freaked out. Must have to do with our job: fixing computers. Who doesn´t freak out while messing with those machines? In theory nothing works but you know why it´s not. Practically everything works, but you don´t know why. We combined those two. So nothing really works and nobody knows why ...
